Preliminary Task: Contents Page FINAL

This is my contents page. I used a white background. I used the same font that I used on the front cover which was rosewood std. But I only used it for the word contents. I then used a simpler font for thes rest of the contents page which was comic sans.

I used a colour scheme of purple and white which are the college colours in both of my designs.

The image of the boys talking I took my self. I was going to use it as the backgroung for the contents page but it looked stretched so I decided to just have it small on the left side of the page.

Above the picture is an empty space, I wanted to put the college logo but I didnt have enough time.

Preliminary Task: Front Cover FINAL

This is my design for the front cover of the college magazine. I looked through the four pictures that I took and decided to use this one.

I chose a colour scheme of purple and white and I used the font Rosewood Std and then filled it in, in purple and white.

On this page I included the masthead, dateline, college website, different coverlines, the main coverline and the barcode.

I used the college logo as the masthead but it came out too small. I wanted to inlarge the mast head and erase the white areas around it.

Preliminary Task: Front Cover & Contents Page Mock Ups

This is my first and second idea for the front cover of my college magazine. You can just about see my drawings and annotation. I i was a lot stronger useing my coloured pencils the it would be a lot better to see, or if i used feltips.

This is my third and fourth idea for my college magazine front cover. In these two ideas you can see the colour a lot better.

This is my first and second idea for a contents page in my college magazine. I used good strong colours in these two ideas.

This is my third and fourth idea for my contents page in my college magazine. Once again I used strong colours, bright and bold very eye catching.

Preliminary Task: Front Cover Conventions Diagram

I went onto moodel and found this front cover that looked eye catching. I labeled the masthead, main coverline, coverlines, main image, dateline and the selling line. I then gave a breif description of what each one means.
